Today I am talking about my favorite time of the year! Well okay, a second favorite which you might know from reading this post. Anyway, fall is the best and everyone can agree.
Fall means pumpkin everything, blanket scarves, riding boots, leggings as pants, oversized sweaters and of course us girls favorite part- no longer having to shave our legs (you’re lying if you say that isn’t your favorite thing about colder weather)
So lately I have been seeing a ton of posts about transitioning into fall and all the pieces “I just have to have this year”
Well living in Texas my fall transition is a little bit different than other states.
It is still high 90’s until probably late December, and no matter how badly I want to whip out my riding boots early September… that is just not gonna happen. I am jealous of the states that actually get a fall season and are wearing jeans and a light sweater right now, while I will be rocking a tank top and shorts for another few months.
Although I am a little bit limited in my transition pieces, I still find a way to transition my closet into Fall without sweating my butt off.
4 Tips to transition your wardrobe into Fall
- Integrate dark, warm tones (maroons, deep browns, and of course cream) into your outfits, regardless if they are shorts or a sleeveless dress
- Try layering a thin fall colored scarf with a t-shirt dress
- Pair your favorite pair of booties with a thin dress, or even dark colored denim
- Dark nail polish & lipstick

Glad you enjoyed this post Isabelle, and glad I could pass along some tips!
I wish Texas would get its butt moving towards some cooler weather, but unfortunately it has been 90 degrees basically every day.
Riding boots are the best!
These are such great tips! Love your necklace!

Thanks so much for reading April! Glad you enjoyed.
Great Fall tips! I love your flat shoes. I like how the straps are winding, kind of like a gladiator sandal. Cute outfit! I was just thinking it’s time for me to get a new Fall color for my nail polish collection.

I think that’s my favorite part about these flats, they seem more versatile?
And if you havent yet, you need to try Sally Hansen’s Gel line because it is everything you ever wanted in a nail polish + this color is perfect for fall!
Great tips! I always feel like transitioning to fall can be so tricky. You often end up feeling too cold or too hot, so I love your tip about layering with a tshirt dress!

That is my main issue with fall transitioning while living in Texas. I don’t want to be too hot, but I do want to dress for the seasons. Glad it helped you!
So cute! Love the flats!! Transitioning to fall can always be complicated!

Yes, I just recently purchased them and I can already tell they are going to be my fall staple.
I think that’s the one thing about living in the south that I don’t like. I have so many friends living in the north and get so jealous seeing their pictures of them wearing real fall clothes.
Thanks for reading!
Omg — so much yes! Can’t wait to incorporate these tips into my outfits and make them feel a little more fall-festive, without totally jumping the gun. I especially love the idea of wearing booties with a lightweight dress… Can’t wait to try it out! Thanks for these tips.

Living in such hot weather makes me sad that I can’t go fully into fall festive season yet, so I feel you on that. Wearing booties with a still “summer” feeling dress is my favorite thing to do throughout September and October when it’s still 90+ degrees here!
