I’m a little late to get this post up, but I figured better late than never! If you’ve been around here for a while you know that for the past 2 years I have always posted about my yearly resolutions and goals, and reflected on the past year! So, today we’re keeping up with that tradition. Linking my 2017 and 2018 posts just incase you want to read those!
I am all about new years resolutions, and setting goals for yourself for the new year! I know some people are really against them, but personally, I find it so refreshing! It’s fun to think about a new year, and kind of have a fresh slate to accomplish goals. Every year when I make goals I actually make actionable steps on how to accomplish them, and also give myself a time limit or month to reach them by! I find that this helps me stay on track, and makes the goals a lot less daunting! I’m going to just share my goals without the actionable steps, so that this post isn’t super long and boring.
This year I made 4 different categories for my 2019 resolutions: business, health, fitness and lifestyle.
BUSINESS
Reach 10K on Instagram by February. This goal isn’t for the whole year, but I do expect to hit 10K way before the end of the year so I set a specific monthly goal to keep myself accountable. Once I hit 10K I will change the follower count goal to something to achieve by the end of the year!
Attend September Fashion Week. NYFW has been a dream ever since I started blogging! Last year was absolute torture following along on Instagram with all the girls who attended. So, I decided that’s not going to happen again and that this year I WILL be there!
Grow YouTube channel. This has been a goal for the past 2 years, and I have never followed through. But 2019 is 100% when it happens, and I am so excited to grow another platform!
Do more in-person events for The Cheeky Lemon. I really want to focus on expanding my customer base this year! I am hoping to do more trunk shows/ sip n shops, etc.
HEALTH
Less soda. I am such a Coke and Dr.Pepper addict! And I spend WAY too much money at Sonic every week. I gave myself the goal (or limit?) to only go to Sonic once a week. I also won’t be ordering anything but water while I’m eating out.
More water. I actually have become really good about drinking a ton of water each day, and I really want to stick to that this year! I have one of those 42 oz bubbas from Target, so my goal is to fill it up 2-3 times a day.
Vegetarian/ plant-based diet. I have been a vegetarian going on 2 years now! Woah, did not realize it had been that long haha. I started eating a vegetarian diet as a health choice, and it has definitely been the best decision for me. Throughout this past year, I have definitely had my cheat meals (hello ChickFilA) but I really want to get back into eating full vegetarian!
FITNESS
Get into a routine. This goal is definitely going to be the hardest for me, but it’s something I want so bad! I will be moving into an apartment that has a gym next month – so I really have no excuse to not stay active!
Walk Quinn more. This could also be docked under lifestyle I guess, but I want to start walking Quinn 2-4x a week after work. It’s been hard since it’s dark both when I leave and get home from work.
LIFESTYLE
This is the category where I kind of just put all of my random goals for the year! Some are more personal, so I’m only sharing a few.
Volunteer at an animal shelter. I have such a big heart for animals, and I know shelters always need volunteers! I have actually been putting this off because I don’t know how I would handle seeing animals in such a tough position, and somehow not adopting them.
Pay off my car, or a student loan. My car is semi almost paid off, and I would absolutely love to have one less bill each month! I also have 4 student loans I pay on each month, and one has a super high-interest rate so I’m really looking to completely pay that one off in full by the end of 2019.
There are all my goals for this year! As cliche as it is I am so pumped for 2019! I have so many things planned, and so many goals to accomplish. Hope you all have a great week, and thank you so much for following along with me!
