Let’s talk about one of my favorite things to do: having a movie night! You’re lying to yourself if you don’t love staying in, inviting a few friends over, and browsing through Netflix! Netflix has seriously been stepping up their game, and releasing so many good movies and shows lately!
When it comes to the perfect movie night, you need all the essentials! My favorites are Arctic Buzz Ice Cream, pizza, candy, popcorn and anything else that counts as a cheat meal, haha! I’ve talked about Arctic Buzz before in this recipe post, but if you’re new around here let me share about them real quick! Arctic Buzz is actually alcoholic ice cream, with a full shot of vodka in each container! They have a ton of delicious flavors to try, and would be the perfect addition to any night in! So far the chocolate is my absolute favorite.

MOVIES
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before (1 &2)
Such a good romantic, teen movie! Definitely has it’s cheesy moments, but overall such a good movie! The second one just came out this past week, so you can binge both in one movie night.
Dumplin
Jennifer Anniston is one of the main characters, so you know it’s going to be good! All about a pageant mom, with a not so into pageant daughter. Really good, and easy to watch!
Always Be My Maybe
I didn’t expect to love this one as much as I did! It’s actually really funny, but also super sweet.
Tall Girl
Another good romantic (ish) teen movie. Of course, it has its cheesy moments, but what teen movie doesn’t!
Miss Americana
This is the documentary about Taylor Swift, and coming from someone who is not even close to being a fan, I did still love it! It was really cool to see into her life, and the background of her new album.
Someone Great
A good breakup movie! It’s all about three best friends having a crazy night, after the main girl (Gina Rodriguez from Jane The Virgin) is going through a breakup. Think Bridesmaids, but Netflix version.
TV SHOWS
Good Girls
I just started this one a few weeks ago, and I am already almost done with season 2. It’s about three moms who rob a grocery store, and it is hilarious!
Love Is Blind
This is a new Netflix show that has a lot of hype around it! I started it two weekends ago and was hooked! It’s a reality tv show where contestants are hoping to become married at the end of it all, without ever SEEING their love matches. Think Bachelor franchise without any PDA, and lots less drama. It’s definitely worth a watch.
The Circle
This is the only one on the list that I haven’t watched yet, but I have heard from so many people that it’s so good! It’s another reality tv show that is kind of bases off social media. Apparently contestants can make their own profiles for other contestants to see (they never interact with others) and they can choose to be anyone they want!
You
If you haven’t heard of You, you might be living under a rock. Season 2 was just released a few months ago, and I think we watched it in less than a week. It’s seriously addicting. I don’t know how to describe it without giving it away, but basically, if you like thrillers, and love you will love this show!
Schitts Creek
The funniest Netflix show to date! I seriously love every single character and don’t know what I was doing before I started it. The main family goes from being extremely wealthy, to extremely broke. They have to move to a straight-up hick town, and it follows their lives and new struggles.
The Good Place
I love anything that Kristen Bell is in, so I gave this one a try when it first came out. It’s different than any other show out there and keeps you guessing after every episode. The “good place” is based on heaven (in a nonreligious way) and shows everyone having their dream lives, how they got to the good place, and all the twists along the way. It’s super easy to watch, and can definitely be enjoyed by anyone!
