I am all about trying fun trends each season! Spring was definitely all about tie dye and then because of COVID lounge wear quickly became THE TREND! So now we’re into August, and summer is basically half way through, I decided to publish this post about summer trends. Oops!
A little late to the party. But I’m sure you can agree that no one has really been following trends outside of loungewear this summer. I really miss dressing up and looking cute! Or at least having a real reason to, besides to post on the gram.
Nevertheless here’s some fun trends I’ve been loving this summer!
BIG GRAPHIC TEE’S
It’s no surprise I love me some graphic tees. My closet is full of them at this point. I love how versatile they are, and how comfy they are! You can easily wear them dressed down like I did, or tuck them into a skirt or your favorite skinny jeans & booties! The options are truly endless.
BIKER SHORTS
Yes yes yes. Give me all the biker shorts! They’re comfy, fun and very trendy this year! I love how versatile these are too! You can wear them as an athleisure look or an edgy trendy look! I’ve found all my favorites from Old Navy and Aerie!
OVERSIZED SUNGLASSES
So this trend was way out of my comfort zone. I am WAY particular about what sunglasses I buy. I really only like a smaller round shape for my face frame! I kept seeing this specific pair on bloggers that I follow, and they’re under $25 so I figured it was worth a try! I’ll be honest, the first time I put them on I was like woah, who is she! They’re way out there for me, but in such a fun way! They’re the perfect accessory to really step up an outfit.
GOLD CHAINS
Gold jewelry is all the rage right now. Especially layering a ton of gold necklaces and big chains! I typically get all my trendy jewelry from Forever 21 or H&M! They always have so many options, and most are under $10. I always like to test a trend first, and buy the inexpensive version first to see what I like!
