Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and my mind and stomach are so so ready! Besides Christmas Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love all the food, but also love the traditions that come along with it!
A few years ago my sister Robin and I started doing the Houston Turkey Trot, and made it a tradition to do every Thanksgiving morning. If you have a Turkey Trot in your city I highly recommend doing it. Even if you aren’t a runner, you can still walk and just hang out with family! Plus it makes you feel a little less guilty about eating all that food. And you’re helping a charity while also staying active, it’s a win-win!
This year my sister won’t be able to make it down to Houston for Thanksgiving, so we’re putting the Turkey Trot on hold! But, my mom and I went ahead and signed up for a local 5K and are gonna try it out!
I picked up this shirt during one of those “I’m only going into Target for shampoo” type of trips. I was immediately drawn to the smocked detailing on the top – it’s so unique. And I love the flowy, sheer look of it! I swear Target has really been stepping up their game in women’s clothing. So props to you, Target!
This top makes for a perfect casual holiday outfit! Also, it is the lightest material so even though it’s basically still summer in Texas I can dress season-appropriate without sweating my butt off.
