So far, I am loving all of the fall and winter trends happening this year! I have never been one to stay on top of dressing “trendy” and usually enjoy picking out pieces not everyone will have. While I still feel that way, this season’s love for velvet and chokers have me grabbing for super trendy items.
Staying current on the trends doesn’t have to hurt your wallet though! I am all for investing in certain pieces that you can have for years on years, but trendy items do not fall into this category. Trends go out of style just as fast as they come into style. You would hate to spend a lot of time and money searching for the perfect velvet choker just to have it go out of style right when you receive the package.
I love going to stores like Forever 21 and SheIn to get trendy pieces! They always keep up with current trends and have items reasonably priced. I can justify spending $15 on a bodysuit from Forever21 as opposed to $140 from Urban Outfitters. You will most likely have trendy items in your closet for max 2 years. If you’re like me you cannot really justify spending money on a clothing item that won’t last you at least 5 years.

I’m living for gray OTk boots and anything velvet. I got my first velvet choker for $8 at Charming Charlie! And I just ordered a pair of gray OTK boots for $34 from BooHoo! I can’t wait for them to come in!!
