It’s been a little over a year and a half since I really started my healthy lifestyle “journey” if you will. I was never someone who really enjoyed going to the gym, or working out at home. I ate really bad, didn’t focus on nutrition at all, and just kind of floated through it all…
Then a few months before COVID really hit I joined Classpass and started going to a few barre and spin classes throughout the month. After that, I started to really get into the health and fitness world and started learning more about it!
Now, working out is just part of my routine and I strive to eat a mostly balanced “diet”. Using the word diet strictly in just how I categorize foods I eat, and that side of it all!
HEALTHY LIFESTYLE HABITS
HEALTHY EATING HABITS + THINKING
- drink at least 64oz of water daily
- always keep healthy snacks in my purse
- food shouldn’t come along with guilt
- make an estimated menu for the week every Sunday
- meal prep easy snacks for on the go
- keep a few better dessert options on hand for that sweet tooth
FITNESS HABITS + INSPIRATION
- schedule my workouts every Sunday night for the whole week
- have an accountability buddy that will keep you in check
- get some type of movement in daily (a 15 min walk counts!)
- fitness is a privilege and not a punishment
- always change up my routine so I don’t get bored
- follow fitness accounts that inspire me on IG to keep me motivated
